Tired Hands - Cupiditas

In true Cupiditas fashion “Tired Hands” is a song about longing, love, and yearning with an unmatchable bassline and upbeat guitars in the chorus, while the verses have a more thoughtful tone. The song makes you realise that love is not in your hands, that no matter how much you long for a feeling you once had, for a person you once held so tight, or for a time that is still so dear to you. It translates a kind of hurt but the instrumentals, at least to me, carry something upbeat, something almost happy and hopeful, which makes the song to a perfect summer indie tune in a world that is getting ready for what social media calls “britpop summer” and for this phenomenon Cupiditas and their newest single, that was released just today, should not be overlooked as it brings along all the components important for a song that fits this theme. Love, missing someone, hopefulness, and understanding that sometimes love is way out of our own control as seen in the line “But When You’re Gone I Realised That Fate Decides, How Love will Rise.”
